Envantage is pleased to announce the release of Dragon II Simdis software. Dragon II Simdis is the first offering in the Dragon II suite of products intended to replace the current Dragon lineup. These products are not mere upgrades of the current products; the software is rewritten at its core to take advantage of the latest in software architecture and technologies. With new speed, features, and capabilities this new lineup deserved new branding and a new logo. Full Range of ASTM Simulated Distillation Methods

Dragon II Simdis is a comprehensive simulated distillation package that covers the full range of ASTM simdis methods: D2887, D7169, D7096, D6352, D7213, D7500 as well as IP and EN equivalent methods. Other ASTM standardized methods such as D7398 FAME (Biodiesels) can also be set up. In addition to boiling point distributions, Dragon II Simdis comes with an extensive array of calculated results. 

Dragon II Simdis Retains Familiar Dashboard

Existing Dragon SimDist users will be pleased to discover Dragon II Simdis has a familiar look and feel. The transition to Dragon II Simdis will be easy. Here are some of the new features:

  • The perimeter toolbar wraps the chart and provides quick access to the most-used functions. Chart controls are on the right
  • Color cues provide guidance throughout the program
  • There is a new summary table on the left side of the BP Distribution tab

New Calibration QC feature provides customized QC evaluations for each method

Demo file sets for each method are included with the software

Comprehensive Help – use F1 on any screen to get immediate Help on that specific topic

Ongoing Development

Envantage monitors changes in standard methods and incorporates them in regular updates to the software. We anticipate issuing updates 3 or 4 times a year. New features are currently being added to Dragon II Simdis and will be deployed in the 2nd quarter. Customer feedback drives the development program of Dragon II Simdis and we welcome your input.
